Winter Week 7 - Filter Research

As there was no lab session this week, I only did some independent research on filters. As mentioned last week, my partner and I selected an IIR filter to use in order to remove some of the ambient noise collected by the microphone. A typical electric guitar has a frequency range of about 80-1200 Hz, but the harmonics for each note occur at multiples of each frequency. Therefore, I think it best to test around 2000 Hz and possibly even higher to preserve more harmonics which could help the chord recognition. This microphone issue seems to be our last obstacle before finishing our project.

Good work, I like the habit of reading. I am wondering how is the progress on LCDK implementation.
